Abstract:
Nowadays, it’s increasingly important to reinforce R&D project management for obtaining enterprise’s competitive advantage and development. Project Management Maturity has been attracting more and more attentions in the field of project management, which aims to improve 'process maturity' of a project. However, there are hardly applications or researches in R&D Projects in Pakistan, of which project managements are essential characters. As a result, project managers are seeking ways to improve the organizational management level in order to implement and control the R&D projects efficiently. This paper describes the studies of project management maturity assessment as a part of the goal of creating a mature project management culture at Public sector R&D Organization. The study will include an investigation into the maturity level of projects undertaken by the organization. Improvement areas will be identified and discussion on Project Management Assessment methodology will be presented.
