Abstract:
Writing e-Learning content is an important thing in developing e-learning tutorial. One of the best ways to organize the content is using storyboard for e-learning. Storyboard for e-learning is a document that describes the visual elements, text elements, audio elements, interactions and branching (where the system or user will go next) of every screen in an online course. Normally, instructional designers use Microsoft Word or PowerPoint as tools for writing the storyboard, which are not easy and efficient to develop.

This paper presents how to develop the prototype of the storyboard software for designing e-Learning content web-based using programming languages PHP, MySQL, JQuery, CSS, and Apache. The storyboard template from MS Word will be converted into the form of storyboard software which is more efficient and effective. This storyboard software will be used for writing and organizing e-learning material in text-mode. The storyboard specifies what the graphic designer will create, what the illustrator will draw, what the narrator will say and the interactions that the programmer will produce. In this form, all e-Learning materials such as text, graphic, video, real picture and audio will be described as text and visualized in the web pages.
