Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to share the actions, good practices and lessons learned in relation to the initial MOODLE configuration, organization, application, monitoring, processing and delivery of results of the TICómetro® in which eight schools that teach higher education at UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) participated.

The TICómetro®, a diagnostic tool for digital skills in ICT use, was designed in 2012 by the DITE (Directorate of Innovation in Educational Technologies) of the DGTIC (General Directorate of Computing and Information and Communication Technologies) of the UNAM. It is implemented in MOODLE educational platform because it is a free Open Source software, provides immediately results to students and facilitates the downloading of results for further analysis.

From August 7 to September 9, 2023 the TICómetro® was answered by 11,200 students who entered a degree program at UNAM; during this period the diagnostic tool was available 24 hours a day and guidance was given to students and logistics managers through various communication channels.
