Abstract:
In academic and professional life is necessary that people have ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) access and getting ICT skills to use them in everyday activities. Thus, the search information on the Internet, the processing of text, the numerical calculation and the editing of images are in some way, skills that a student would have to develop. These skills have been diagnosed in high school students by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) through the one diagnostic evaluation instrument called TICómetro, implemented in the questionnaire module of Moodle e-learning platform.

For the purpose of extending the functionality of question type existing in the Moodle questionnaire module, the Coordination of Technologies for Education of the General Direction of Computing and Information and Communication Technologies (DGTIC) was implemented four plugins that allow the construction of scenarios close to reality in order to facilitate the experimentation, the construction and the application of knowledge in a controlled environment to repeat it as many times as necessary. The plugins emulate the basic functions of a similar work environment that we can found in a text editor software, a spreadsheet software, a search engine for information on the Internet and an image editor software.

The teacher´s participation was essential to design these plugins, manly in three activities: defining requirements, doing technical tests and designing questions about real situations.

The proposal of this paper is to describe the plugins and to show the experience of using them. The results have contributed to design of skills diagnostics in ICT through the use of plugins within the academic community.
