Abstract:
The h@bitat puma program at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) has as a main aim to promote the development of digital skills in the students. One of the actions carried out since 2010 is the development of instruments that allow it to diagnose the level of access, use and appropriation of information and communication technologies (ICT) that help it determine the level of digital skills that high school students from the UNAM have.

In this paper we will discuss about the methodology, design, implementation and analysis of qualitative and quantitative results obtained from exploration activities, in-depth interviews and working groups as instruments that together provided us data about the level of digital skills that have developed by the h@bitat puma pupils initiation and high school three subsequent grades.

The information obtained from these instruments has contributed to update the Maturity Model proposed by the h@bitat puma Coordination, in order to offer an array of multiple ICT organized by topics, classified by levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced; and used it as part of reference for computer training of university teachers.
