Abstract:
Teaching learning processes from time immemorial have been undergoing transformations continuously to meet the challenges of the time. There is always a myth that the pedagogy adopted is to be determined by the expert offering the knowledge and not by the learner. But in today’s environment the learner is at the prime center based on whom pedagogy has to be developed. It is a new area where one has to throw light on the invasion of technology into the institutions. The information and communication technology enabled the students to accede to the knowledge across globe either for their academic enhancement or for their interest. Often the teachers identified the activity of students pondering over the ICT widgets as detraction. In reality it is not so. Time has come now to decide on how to adopt these widgets and technologies to infuse the knowledge and diffuse the same for the greater advantage.

OLP commonly known as online learning program as perceived for distance education or e-learning is an area which could be appropriately blended with the class room learning activities to develop a hybrid model to enhance the quality of learning. A case study has been conducted at a business school where pedagogical innovations have been initiated. Few such attempts are: 24x7 online learning platforms, mobile apps, gaming, simulations and a blend of such other technological advancements. The main objectives are to cater to the needs of the students based on their learning pace, interest, time preference, priorities, social needs, learning styles and the liking to access to the source of knowledge. Hence a study has been initiated to identify the priorities of the learners towards the pedagogy and delivery mode, access, availability, preference, convenience based on the interest of the learners to acquire the knowledge and skill to be competitive in the present scenario.

The study results would help one to create a hybrid model of pedagogy through a blend of OLP and class room teaching which helps in enhancing self efficacy and learning effectiveness amongst students pursuing management education.
