Abstract:
Strategic planning models and information provision for decision making in complex strategic situations are frequent subjects for scientific research. This paper proposes a novel strategic decision support system (SDSS) based integrated models for big data university admission capacity planning including analysis, design and implementation. The architecture includes three integrated models that are suggested for enhancing SDSS overall performance. In addition to knowledge base management and multimedia friendly user interface, the integrated models of the SDSS consists of students’ track specified model, colleges’ enrollment model and students’ capacity forecast model. Knowledge based rules and forecasting statistical methodologies are used for building these models. This SDSS is expected to help university decision makers for solving problems related to strategic decisions for enhancing future university students’ admission and enrollment capacity planning to satisfy labor market needs.
