Abstract:
The Superior Institute of Technology in Puerto Vallarta sees in the usage of technology applied to long distance education, a great tool to support students in having an integral education. Thus, the authors of the present work wish to present the advances we have achieved in the implementation of virtual and remote laboratories, which are developed with Labview and Matlab softwares through the Moodle web platform.

Within remote laboratories, it is fundamental to consider the expected capabilities that the student must acquire, therefore, remote laboratories offer a chance to strengthen previous knowledge about the proposal subject. Subsequently, virtual software is used for practices, where the student applies his recently acquired concepts and knowledge, all within a controlled environment in the same laboratory.

Once the student has acquired the desired level in the virtual environment, we proceed to the last stage of the remote laboratory, which through the Moodle, allows the student to access a physical space remotely through their assigned username and password, where they can apply the acquired knowledge with physical devices through the World Wide Web, at any time they want, to accomplish previously defined activities.

The scores obtained by the student online activities are assessed and corrected through the same platform.
