Abstract:
The academic tutoring continues being an indispensable function in the environment of the educational models of Higher Education Institutions (HEI). Since, it is a substantive activity in the trajectory and successful completion of university studies, students rely upon it to overcome the obstacles to endanger school attendance, and university drop-out rates. This line of research, is derivered from the study entitled "The academic in the tutorial function", due to the importance of the topic and its impact on the students' school trajectory, focusing attention to determine the percentage of students in academic risk in an HEI. The spatial dimention of this study includes a Mexican HEI of Economic-Administrative Area in its Open Teaching System, and covering the study period from August 2013 to July 2018, whose objective is to establish solutions, in order to decrease the risk of students leaving their university studies, assisting the rate of graduation efficiency, and to strengthen the operability of the Tutorial system through e-tutoring at the HEI
