Nowadays University is affected by many changes (Mora, 2008) that, by themselves, don´t guarantee the access to a quality education. Therefore, it is necessary a new effort that allows the achievement of effective learning results in our students (UNESCO, 2009).

As a result, the evaluation of competences and learning results -understood as research issues- is becoming a subject of international educational interest, due to the necessity to make profitable, both the training efforts as the existing resources, in order to increase the institutional competitiveness and to improve the academic results of our students.
The evaluation of learning in University is one of the aspects most affected by the change in the university model, since it is one of the fields that more have evolved in the last years. These changes directly affect the evaluation but, in practice, this don´t implies changes in the evaluation models.

In order to respond adequately to the needs of training in our university (University of Jaen) our work group requested an innovation project (PID43_201113) in which an exploratory research was developed to determine, as its first objective, the level of knowledge related to professional competences that a teacher should develop. This study has allowed us to design, in a first phase, a valid and reliable evaluation tool for professional competences and learning results for prospective teachers. The second phase of this project (currently under development) is to design a program of online assessment for these professional competences and learning results.

Furthermore, this research has allowed us consolidate interdisciplinary collaboration between teachers that belong to different and areas of knowledge and thus make profitable the training efforts and the resources to use.
