RESEARCH IN EDUCATION IN GABON: ISSUES AND OUTLOOK

Two observations is the origin of this reflection. On the one hand, due to the relative youth of the university Gabon (40 years today), there has not yet been any debate on the conditions of scientific research in general and particularly in education. On the other hand, educational research as it is organized and done, lack of visibility and readability. This contribution proposes a reflection on the diagnostic context of educational research in Gabon. It attempts to answer certain questions, among others, what are the problems and characteristics of educational research in Gabon? How is this research? And what are the consequences? After analysis, identifies numerous ailments (in the form of assumptions) involved in atonic nature of educational research. Finally, some perspectives are outlined to facilitate revitalization of that research.
