Abstract:
This paper aims to describe an cooperative experience based on the MONOPOLY game conducted by financial accounting and auditing professors. The activity design is done with the intention that students develop skills and perceive a way of learning using cognitive and emotional intelligence, as well as the intellectual overcoming barriers for the difficulty in learning this kind of subjects. For this reason we have used the game as a teaching tool so that the student works in the classroom diverse business administration degree competences such as organizational skills, analytical skills, decision-making, communication and negotiation. Acquired learning assessment is performed in two stages through the participation of two teachers. In a first phase, the evaluation focuses on measuring the different skills through student participation in the game. In the second phase, students describe the main challenges and achievements both individually and collectively by the group, assessing teacher knowledge worked as strengthened skills.
