KINESIO TAPING – A NEW TREND IN TEACHING UNIVERSITY STUDENTS SPECIALIZING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT

Abstract:
Sport activities are related to the development of many disorders of the kinetic system. In preventing their occurrence but also in the subsequent treatment of specific damage, numerous procedures are used. The past decade has seen massive development of kinesio taping. Each university student of physical education and sport in the Czech Republic is acquainted with the principles of first aid during their studies, and in recent years, increased emphasis has been placed on familiarization with the use of kinesio taping.
In its introduction, the article deals with the issue of the development of early sport injuries. Furthermore, it is aimed at preventive use of kinesio taping. It summarizes the properties of the material used, the principles of its application and the general description of the individual techniques of use. A substantial part of the text involves the summarization of the problem of its expected effect. In addition, the article outlines the possibilities of the use of this method in preventing sport injuries, as well as specific examples of the use of some techniques in the damage of the kinetic system. We believe that this method brings relatively low costs in its use, high efficiency and no risk of adverse side effects. Therefore, not only the athlete but also each physical education worker should be well-informed on this issue and able to use the above-mentioned effects in a suitable way. Keywords:
