Abstract:
This paper explains two year progress in the implementation of an Educational Innovation Project for the Statistics in the Degree in Public Administration.

A learning teaching methodology based on continuous formative assessment was adopted in the project. This methodology involves a self-directed learning by students. Through tests rated pre-class of each unit, the student is encouraged to develop thematic units. The accomplishment and correction of the tests is effected across PoliformaT that is the LMS (Learning management system) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia based on Sakai. In the computer laboratory sessions, the evaluation is in pairs.

In order to assess the degree of success of this methodology we considered the results of a student survey about them.

Addition, we analyzed the relationship between the academic performance of students and the results of the student survey to validate the educational innovation project.
