Abstract:
Due to the possibility of the use of the new technologies (e-learning), the “Part-time attendance” subjects are being in the Universities a practice every more frequent time. Subjects like the Statistic, need an educational methodology that allows the student to learn the basic concepts that immediately will put in practice and which finally they should used in their working lives when they need to perform previously learned skills in their degree. In two “Part-time attendance” subjects, there has appeared a methodology that involves a self-directed learning by students. Through tests rated pre and post-class of each unit, the student is encouraged to develop thematic units. The accomplishment and correction of the tests is effected across PoliformaT that is the platform of Internet for teaching that the UPV puts to the service of their community. The students access the same previous identification and answer the questions in each test.
The students also can attend the subjects of on-site class. In this case the students approximately every two weeks in groups solve problems in the presence of the professor. The score obtained by one or another process is part of the final score. With both methodologies, the students work the subject throughout the course of continuous form having feedback permanent that does possible to assess the progress or deficiency of the acquired knowledge and the use of more resources if it was necessary.
