Abstract:
Worldwide computerization and spread of internet technologies have been changing the society for several decades already. The process has been influencing skills and competences selection which are required for successful operation of a person in the modern society. The article considers the requirements for young professionals on the part of employers and the reasons for possible difficulties for the youth as future employees.

The author envisages several features of Generation Z which should be taken into account by teachers, parents and employers for boosting their personal and professional capability. Among these are peculiarities of the process of getting and processing information, giving preference to hypertextual structure of material, recipiency to gamification and mind-mapping technologies at studies and everyday life, etc.

The article gives statistics based on Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) and gives recommendations on better motivating and teaching the modern youth for the future success in their professional and personal lives, self-fulfillment and self- actualization.
