"Lucian Blaga" University (ROMANIA)
In the international cooperation, universities usually focus on genuine and productive cooperation in order to extend the mobility. The direct consequence of this mobility is the development of new research and cooperation programs. Measures implemented in recent years at the university have led to increasing competitiveness and have attracted students from other countries. A meaningful analysis of conception, development and especially of the internationalization of university training programs is essential to the future of the university. “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu developes a lots of mobility programs. The present study case consists of an analysis followed by proposals for improving the management of Erasmus Plus mobility programs using Six Sigma methodology.

In order to define the problem, a sample of 30 beneficiaries of Erasmus+ Program from outside Europe was identified and selected. By giving marks to each difficulty meet by the foreign students and identified in the present study, it was possible to determine the obstacle with the most influence. After a comprehensive analysis performed in "Lucian Blaga" in terms of Erasmus Plus mobility projects over the last three years, it has been identified several categories of problems. Identifying their causes was made after organizing a brainstorming session. The results allowed us to create a cause-effect diagram.

This diagram highlighted the main causes and allowed groups to seek the root cause. After identifying the causes, data needed to create Pareto chart were collected. For Pareto analysis it has been used a questionnaire, under which the frequency of cases it has been quantified. The next step was to identify alternatives for improvement. After evaluating alternatives to improve, it has been settled corrective actions, resources and responsibilities and an action plan for the coming years has been developed.
