CLASSIC AND MODERN MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES USED TO PLAN THE CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES OF THE STUDENTS

"Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu (ROMANIA)
The main role of the university in today's society is to train specialists for tomorrow's world. In order to achieve this goal, students and teachers need to use their abilities and creativity together. Each teacher has to constantly adapt his teaching methods and the content of matter, so that the university becomes an important link in the sustainable development of society. Because the requirements for the knowledge of specialists in various fields of activity are increasingly varied and permanently changing, academics must also take into account the limited time of the student to assimilate this knowledge.

That is why we propose in this paper the use of classical and modern management techniques and instruments for choosing the optimal combinations of curricular activities carried out with students in the classroom or made by them during the individual study foreseen in their specialization curriculum. Although the case studies presented in the paper are results of the didactic activity conducted by us with students from technical specializations, we appreciate that they can be successfully extended to other academic fields. The solutions offered by us on various problems of optimization of didactic activities carried out under certain restrictive conditions (such as the limited time or the large number of students in a group) demonstrate the necessity of using the management techniques by all academics. Each teacher can choose the proper management technique or instrument for planning the curricular activities of a group of students.
