Abstract:
The Instagram platform is intended for posting visual and textual information on various topics, communicating with people from all over the world, helping its users in their professional development - this is where you can share your works and discuss them with a large audience. A wide range of experts can share their experience and best practices with colleagues. Instagram, in turn, allows for the rapid dissemination of information.

Interactive teaching is aimed at actively involving students in their learning process. The paper presents the experience of interactive activities using the features of Instagram in the foreign language course for engineering students.

An analysis of students' self-evaluation forms showed that they better learned the material studied in the classroom. This was made possible by the need to clearly explain certain professional aspects of engineering practice to a wide audience outside the classroom.

The experiment results showed positive dynamics in students' language competency due to the implementation of specially designed assignments for posting on Instagram, for which students had to read a large number of technical texts, study terminology, write professionally oriented posts. In addition, regular posting contributed to the development of independent work skills, including self-correction, as well as the completion of work on time.
