Abstract:
The linguocultural environment of an internationally oriented University has a multifaceted and multifactorial potential for successful adaptation and integration of foreign students into the Russian educational space.

The creation of a theoretically grounded and experimentally tested integrative model of the interethnic interaction of different ethnic groups representatives in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language in the educational environment of an internationally oriented University involves the solution of a wide range of problems:
• comprehensive analysis of the interethnic interaction features and representatives of different ethnic groups in the learning process of the RFL in an internationally oriented university;
• specification of positive interaction areas, actual and potential tension;
• determination and systematization of factors affecting the effectiveness of the interethnic interaction of different ethnic cultures representatives in the learning process of the educational environment of an internationally oriented University and others.

One of the basic components of the interethnic interaction model in the educational environment of an internationally oriented University is the diagnostic component.

The article presents the following main directions of construction of the diagnostic component of the model:
• creation of ethno-oriented descriptions of different ethnic groups of students formed as individuals in the conditions of their native culture, including educational one;
• determination and comparative analysis of communicative dominants of different ethnic groups of students;
• definition of types of communicative difficulties in the educational environment of an internationally oriented University;
• diagnostics of the linguocultural environment influence of the University on the development of communicative competence of a foreign student;
• determination of the readiness degree of a foreign student to integrate into the educational environment of the Russian University and the Russian socio-cultural space.

The creation of a “diagnostic roadmap” structured in the relevant areas, provides the opportunity to develop a set of measures aimed at improving inter-ethnic cooperation in the academic environment of an internationally oriented University.

The results of the diagnosis permit to develop a set of measures on the level of educational organization aimed at improving both the content component of teaching Russian as a foreign language and organizational one, including the potential of the Russian educational institution of higher education.
