Abstract:
In this paper we will analyze two flexibility needs, namely evolution and variability, and we will study how these can coexist and how can be managed together to increase the flexibility level of business processes. Also collaborative learning could help into achieving business agility, because the possibility to learn together may increase the employees’ knowledge base. The research goal is to create a new collaborative platform which allows to trigger business process static evolution in presence of variability. The results obtained suggest that our approach is valid and there may still be room for further researches toward such direction.
This paper is divided in four parts. I Introduction: describe research statement and questions; II encompass the methodology used for the research; III Definition and Development: where describes the new approach to cope with business process static evolution and variability in a collaboration environment. IV Conclusions and Future work.
