Abstract:
Nowadays in Mexico, there is an alarming school desertion rate (in all different levels), career changes, a high university rejection rates, and an arguable preparation for the job market. These are reflected in loses of time and economical resources, affecting the economy, personal, social and productive development. Therefore based on the needs of the youth population in Mexico, and according to the educative system and the lack of a school counseling culture, there is an area of opportunity. The objective of this educative multimedia project is to confront this problem on an individual level and provide a reliable and viable solution. The result is a virtual multimedia on the internet, based on the cognitive paradigm that will help and empower students to know themselves and their abilities, aspirations, needs and options. The breakthrough in this product is the fact that it involves the student’s parents, because in Mexico there is a high notion of heritage career choices.
