Abstract:
The article deals with the issues of industrial practice of undergraduates, in particular the formation of the main research competence, and effective ways of its formation are proposed.

The article reasonably states that an effective assessment of the formation of research competence is possible through an analysis of the practical knowledge, skills and abilities of a master student, which he or she does not demonstrate in the process of school practice. The assessment of research competence using a tiered approach offers a tool that will allow, on the one hand, making this assessment more accurate, and on the other hand, clearly setting the goals of the upcoming work in practice to obtain a guaranteed result at the stage of planning.

The experimental work carried out by the authors of the article confirmed that the conditions contributing to the effective formation of research competence in the process of industrial practice (from the ability to organize research and teaching activities to the level of skills and methods of research activities to solve educational problems) are as follows: a personalized approach, the use of modern technologies, a tiered approach to assessing the formation of research competence. As an example, competency levels are given for key competencies: "Problem Solving", "Working with Information" and "Communication" - as applied to research activities during work experience (research work). The level of formation of research competence in the process of industrial practice has an impact on the result of research activities in the magistracy and on the formation of the personality of a teacher-researcher as a whole.

The article shows how to assess the level of formation of research competence using a tiered approach.

The material of the study is the analysis of scientific literature on the problem of the formation of the research competence of future teachers, as well as diagnostic methods, including questioning, testing and statistical methods of data processing. A method for assessing the level of formation of research competence is proposed.

In the course of writing the article, the following tasks were solved: definitions of concepts, their distinctive characteristics were analyzed. The pedagogical conditions for the formation of research competence in the process of industrial practice are determined and their effectiveness is experimentally verified.
The theoretical and practical significance of the work carried out lies in the fact that pedagogical conditions have been identified that will allow the formation of research competence during work practice in the magistracy more effectively. Tasks for different types of production (pedagogical) practice are proposed, which include the development and design of laboratory or practical classes, technological maps, analytical references, reports, etc. To assess the performance of undergraduates, three mandatory tasks for practice are proposed. MS Excel is used for expert evaluation of completed assignments.
