Abstract:
The contribution is focused on basic features and functionality that 3D modelling programs can provide to the user. Authors state, how computer aided design (CAD) software can be efficient in practice and how it can be used to improve the quality of entire production process. As an example of such a use of the program and its link towards the production sphere, authors state the project which task was to develop the fully functional model of three-axis computer numerical control (CNC) gantry milling machine. This device was designed for triaxle machining of materials based on a preprogramed computer operating codes. This computer programme was designed and implemented using on Solidworks 3D modelling program. A part of the project work were static simulations of the frames hereby designed. These simulations were processed by utilizing 3D program as well as by utilizing software Matlab calculations; and subsequently these methods were analytically compared. Within this project we have procured and analysed all necessary components needed to assemble the resulting CNC equipment.
