Abstract:
The ever-increasing amounts of information, its variety and multiplicity, as well as the pace and extent of its digitization, on the one hand, and the constantly growing needs of information users to receive reliable, high-quality, relevant information that meets their changing needs as quickly as possible, on the other hand , assumed the need for new competences. These competences can be referred to as transversal digital skills, which cover 5 main areas: Information and data literacy; Communication and collaboration, especially digital collaboration; Digital content creation; Security, where the protection of personal data and privacy is particularly relevant; and Problem solving, including technical problem solving.
The project "FTDCHE: Development of Transversal Digital Competences in Higher Education" of the consortium of 5 European higher education institutions from Spain, Belgium, Slovenia, Romania and Lithuania is dedicated to the development of these transversal competences, during which a Common Curriculum and Digital Competences Development Program will be prepared. methodology, applying the main principles of the Learning Design strategy. Also, a learning management system will be created in the Moodle environment - a distance learning course for level 3-4 according to DigComp v2.2 to develop competences and abilities.
These educational tools and environments will be available not only to high school students who need higher digital skills to adapt to the requirements of the labor market, but also to professionals, qualified specialists who need continuous training to be able to adapt their skills to new ICT methods and tools, and companies, especially small and medium-sized ones, which have problems hiring qualified employees who know their own and others' technological needs, and who are able to use information, data, various digital content and constantly improving technologies in a high-quality and appropriate manner. All this is very relevant in the realization of lifelong learning provisions.
The training material and visual content created during the project will be relevant and useful for other educators, and the distance course material, which will consist of 5 modules for the development of digital competences from level 3 to 5, practical tasks and self-monitoring and control tests, will not only create favorable conditions for learners, but will also be an excellent example of a methodological tool. The content of the project and the already developed tools would be presented during the presentation at the conference. Keywords:
