Abstract:
The relevance of this study is to identify the advantages of studying English by university students as future specialists and considering the issue of learning English as a basic skill in the process of mastering engineering specialties, particularly in the field of medical engineering. The specific opportunities that open up for university students who speak a foreign language, such as access to relevant technical resources and knowledge, the ability to work in international teams and competitiveness in the international labor market are highlighted.

Based on the theoretical analysis and accumulated practical experience, the authors of the article identified topical problems that complicate students' understanding of the specifics of a dynamically developing industry, engineering. As a result of collected material, the statistical data relating to the process of learning English was collected.

The article may be of scientific and practical interest for teachers, scientists and researchers.
