Abstract:
The authors of this research emphasize the special importance of necessity of formation of students of higher educational institutions of ability to think critically, abilities to think, estimate, analyze that are very important for their future professional career irrespective of in what field of science or the sphere of human activity they will be demanded. In the present article the problem of formation of critical thinking of students of higher education institution in the course of training of English rises. Both the theoretical, and practical ideas directed to formation of ability to think critically are considered. The stages of process of introduction of skills of critical thinking in the process of learning foreign languages are described.

Use game modeling at English lessons by teachers gives the chance of creation of the game communication environment, increase in informative activity of students, formation of independence in thinking and activity. The researchers consider that active thinking process is created by means of special learning, problem solving, and trainings.
