Abstract:
The paper presents experience sharing in European Union in the field of professionalization of computer science studies among Leonardo da Vinci Mobility project partners. The main aim of the project is develop methods and documents related to professionalization of Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (CS) in Lublin University of Technology (LUT) by familiarizing with the best European practices in the higher education (HE) professionalization. Lublin University of Technology join the best teaching methods and procedures to prepare guide of vocational training organization.

In the paper there are described such issues as:
1) Necessity of studies professionalization in CS area arising from needs of employers in Poland and other EU countries.
2) Scope of the project “Professionalization of bachelor’s degree studies in computer science in Lublin University of Technology” in the frame of Leonardo da Vinci Lifelong Learning Programme in Mobility action and its objectives.
3) The characteristics of project partners (four different universities from four different EU countries) and reasons for their chosen.
4) Main activities performed during the project. These activities are focused on acquiring knowledge related to cooperation with university and ICT industry.
5) Organizing, preparing and conducting study visits at two partner universities (France and Slovenia) including obtained results. Comparison of different experiences and activities performed by EU universities in cooperation with the industry.
6) Preliminary conclusions of the HE professionalization process in LUT. The template of road-map of the HE professionalization.
