Abstract:
The modern educational process is aimed at the formation and development of the student's personality. In a multicultural society, the use of ethnocultural elements in teaching is of particular importance. Ethnocultural elements have a great educational potential that must be used. The proposed technologies for the use of ethnocultural elements in the educational process are developed on the basis of a cultural, synergistic, systemic, and sense-centered approach. The paper discusses the principles of using ethnocultural elements in the educational process, the structure of technologies for their use. Ethnocultural elements are separate traditions, customs, facts of ethnic culture, selected, appropriately represented in certain pedagogical conditions.

The system of using ethnocultural elements includes:
1) an ethnopedagogue with a certain level of ethnical competence,
2) a learner who has his own picture of the world and personal meanings;
3) the subsystem of pedagogical actions, implemented in the form of ethno-pedagogical technology;
4) educational information of an ethnic nature, which must be perceived, revised, assimilated.

The paper considers the role of ethnocultural elements in the educational process, gives examples of their use. The pedagogical conditions that are necessary to create in order for the ethnocultural elements to realize their educational and formative potential are substantiated. Concrete examples of the use of ethnocultural elements in spontaneously arising ethno-pedagogical situations and in specially prepared ethno-pedagogical events are given. For the experiment, a control group and an experimental group were formed, which worked according to the same programs, the same number of hours, but ethno-cultural elements were used in the experimental group.
