Abstract:
In the conditions of modern educational space and global informatization of society, the teaching of foreign languages in technical universities has undergone changes concerning the overall organization of the educational process, the goals and methods of teaching, its structure and content. The global goal of training is to meet the social needs that are associated with the need for the further active integration of our specialists into world science. The specific goal of a multi-level structure of teaching foreign languages in a technical university is defined as the creation of conditions for improving the personality of a student who is able to consciously and motivatedly acquire communicative competence to implement foreign language cultural and professional communication. The objectives of the course include mastering the system of a foreign language for the purposes of scientific communication, proceeding in contact with representatives of a different cultural real. The organization of the educational process on the basis of modern technologies allows us to solve these problems effectively and simultaneously increase the motivation of students. These technologies include audiovisual technologies implemented on the basis of video materials. Under audiovisual learning technologies should understand the way to implement the goals of learning using audio-video computer tools. Audiovisual technologies can be used in various teaching methods: reproductive, productive, problem-searching, research and others.

The video materials underlying the audiovisual technologies create the information field on which the solution of communicative tasks of oral communication is deployed. Video materials will be understood as any didactic material implemented in audiovisual form used in the educational process. The most important didactic means of forming the communicative competence of students is the communicative task. In addition, communicative task is the most important means of monitoring the achieved level of formation of communicative competence in a certain type of speech activity.

The proposed audiovisual technologies have great potential in ensuring the most effective organization of the educational process in order to solve communication problems. By pedagogical algorithm, we understand a certain sequence of learning actions leading to the realization of the set learning goals. To solve each of the set of communicative tasks, students need to know not only the general content of the video material, but also remember the details, as well as be able to evaluate events, characterize the actors, using words and phrases from the speech accompaniment of the video material. A sufficient level of formation of communicative competence means the end of the work of the pedagogical algorithm. The author believes that the proposed pedagogical algorithm that underlies the audiovisual technology is applicable to work with any kind of video materials with the possibility of making some changes related to the depth of perception of the material. From the point of view of the sequence of actions, it takes into account the psychological features of the perception of video materials, as well as the methodological features of the organization of the educational process in a foreign language. The solution of communicative tasks in the implementation of audiovisual technologies contributes to improving the quality of students learning a foreign language.
