Abstract:
The main characteristics of the contemporary age have direct consequences on the young generation and mainly on the teenagers’ training according to the social and political requirements of each country.
Education, which plays a decisive role in the economic and social development of any nation, is one of the most important and dynamic fields of human shaping being permanently confronted with the requirements imposed by the near future.
That is why in order to be aware, to really live and to actively contribute to the human beings’ moulding, man gradually turns into a component part of the environment by his open attitude, receptive to all surrounding him, accepting the challenges coming from the environment, confronting them and perceiving life as both a process and a product of his own thinking, as his own creation.
School has been and will remain all over the world the main factor of education and training, the principal promotor of cultural, material and spiritual values. But, a great role has to be assigned to the requirements of school concerning the formation, stimulation and development of thinking from an early age.
To teach the student to learn, to guide him on the path of his search for identity, to make him aware of the importance of the permanent assessment of his convictions, attitudes and behaviour, all these aspects represent the fundamental requirements, which must be fulfilled by any present-day educator.
Education must turn into a national issue for each country. That is why we have focused on one of the education types, that is moral education, as well as on the way in which it is carried out within the framework of the Romanian school.
More and more by means of media, but also in the daily educational activities, we have found out lately that aggressivity and violence are present in schools, within families as well as in society. We are confronted with verbal, physical, emotional, psychological or sexual violence.
In the present paper, we try to particularize these general issues laying emphasis upon the Romanian specificities and to find out the main causes of juvenile violence.
The teacher is the manager of the students’ community, of the class, which is led and guided by him/her, willing to get performance. The teacher must find out and manage the crisis situations affecting certain students belonging to a community.
The paper also includes certain suggestions concerning the steps to follow as a manager in the case of certain crisis situations that might appear in the educational activities.
