Abstract:
The Senior Program has been developped since 2006 by the Education Science Institut (ICE) of the Lleida University (Spain). The students of this program are older than 50 years. This program named Certificate Senior in Culture, Science and Technology, takes care on competences as communication in the mother tongue, communication in foreign languages (english), basic competences in science and technology, digital competence, social and civic competences and cultural awareness and expression, as indicates the recommendation of the european parliament and of the council of 18 december 2006 on key competences for lifelong learning. This program is divided in four courses and during the academic year the students attend lessons of compulsory subjects, optional subjects and some free subjects. Most students are pensioner, but these two last years we have observed that there is an increase of pre-retired people and that the mean of student age is lower that the first academic year. Also, an increase of the cultural standard has been observed. Now, we are engaging a new project which consists in two more courses to be an expert on one subject. Keywords:
