Abstract:
The complex relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and students' involvement in the language learning process is examined in this research article. This investigation analyzes how AI technologies affect and interact with students' motivation levels and general involvement in language acquisition through a synthesis of previous research and the use of empirical evidence. The study explores the effects of AI-powered language learning tools on students' intrinsic motivation, self-efficacy, and persistent engagement. These tools include chatbots, interactive platforms, and adaptive learning systems. It looks into how AI-powered adapted learning programs improve language proficiency, accommodate a range of learning preferences, and adjust to each learner's individual progress. This article additionally investigates the possible negative effects and difficulties of integrating AI in language learning environments, such as problems with dependence, interaction authenticity, and the place of human teachers in AI-mediated learning environments. Through an analysis of the benefits and drawbacks of artificial intelligence (AI) in language learning, this study offers valuable perspectives on how to best utilize AI to support students' long-term motivation and involvement. This will ultimately lead to the development of more efficient language learning models in educational environments.
