Abstract:
This study investigates the integration of Project-Based Learning (PBL) and the Scrum framework, alongside the use of forum tools, into the Computer Engineering Degree curriculum. The objective is to better prepare students for the challenges of the technological market. The methodology centers students in the educational process, promoting the practical application of theoretical knowledge through semi-real projects. PBL develops skills such as teamwork and critical thinking, while Scrum introduces agile project management practices. The inclusion of forum tools facilitates enhanced interaction and communication among students and instructors, fostering a collaborative learning environment. This approach is exemplified in the Programming Laboratory Course Unit project, structured in sprints and supplemented by forum discussions. Evaluation is based on technical criteria, the effectiveness of the work methodology, and the quality of interactions within the forum. Results indicate that students acquired both technical and transversal skills, with improved communication, adaptability to challenges, and enhanced collaborative abilities through forum participation. The conclusion highlights that the combination of PBL, Scrum, and forum tools enriches the educational process, equipping students with an agile mindset and the capacity for continuous learning. This hybrid model is a viable option to meet the current needs of Computer Engineering education, providing a dynamic, interactive, and collaborative learning environment.
