Abstract:
This paper describes an experience with a third year student´s group of the Childhood Education Degree at the University of Seville, through the compulsory subject called Knowledge of the Social Environment in Early Childhood Education. Student's research activities were used as a strategy to make them experiment and reflect on a way to learn using their own interests and following the stages of a research process. After we had carried out a social research as a whole group, whose theme was determined by the students, we immersed ourselves in a process of reflection on how we had learned at the same time we tried to identify the viability that this form of working has in a classroom of Childhood Education. That reflection allows us to identify some possible practical-professional problems in order to organize the subject´s content. The rest of the subject´s themes make sense because they are organized around a process of professional research which purpose is answering the main question: Is it possible to use scholar research in Children's classrooms?
