Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the economic and psychological aspects of human capital in the issue of university and industry cooperation on the example of RUDN University. The article shows that human capital is a key concept of the knowledge economy, where knowledge is understood as an intensive productive factor of economic development. However, in the knowledge economy it is important to consider not only a factor of knowledge production (University), but also the information environment in which human capital is applied (industry). The rapid of the creation, dissemination and application of human capital in the form of high-tech products and services is becoming a key competitive factor. In economic psychology it becomes very important the transition from the staff as the labor force (people as the object of labor) to human capital (people as the subject of labor). In order to organize a successful cooperation in University-Industry collaboration it needs to use correctly the motivation and resources, which are endowed with both sides.

Human Capital Management in the organization of University-Industry collaboration is implemented in the following ways:
1) the prevention of crisis in the sector of University-Industry collaboration;
2) building of human capital for the growth of involvement in the processes of the University and company as an open system;
3) facilitation of crisis for the industry issues;
4) an increase in humanitarian and social management;
5) sustainable development;
6) creation of business reputation;
7) increase of the creative potential of the University-Industry collaboration.
