Abstract:
Digital Transformation (DT) is a contemporary and emerging paradigm that is being implemented or better “it is happening” in modern organizations, all around the world. Governments and private companies try to digitally transform their operations, improve business processes, redefine business models and enhance products and services. DT paradigm is strategy-oriented and customer-centric, it is based on the introduction of organizational and technological changes in products/services, business processes, and/or business models by the implementation of contemporary information and communication technologies (ICT). Many higher education institutions (HEIs) at the university or professional level introduce curriculums connected directly or indirectly to digital transformation. The Faculty of Organization and Informatics of the University of Zagreb is also going in such direction, and in this paper development and implementation of the digital transformation course, will be analysed and presented. This article is a result of a research continuation on digital transformation, education on digital transformation, and teaching experiences in HEI. The research follows a previously developed digital transformation curriculum or ICT-related programs, that include education for digital transformation. Several new university or professional study programs focused on digital transformation have included a course in digital transformation and in this paper this course, its structure, and content are analysed from various aspects as a practical personal experience in the education of this new and interesting topic.
In this paper, experiences in education, research results, and literature review of similar or theme-connected courses were analysed. DT methodology and frameworks that were included in the Digital Transformation course or connected courses were described and presented as well as a teaching methodology. Keywords:
