Abstract:
We would like to show the student’s experience developed at the Laboratory of Prototype - Campus Point - Polytechnic of Milan - Department of Lecco. Here, students developing the three-dimensional modelling knowledge using architectural design software to make the physical models, directly from the drawing.

The innovation in the architectural educational method is based on the direct transfer from the digital model, through rapid prototyping techniques, to the production machine.

Young students and designers who have designed a new architecture can see it materialized in a physical model, in order to verify and discuss their projects with teachers and other students. They acquire knowledge on advanced digital design and translate their projects into machine language.
The results of this new "tandem" is to understand the complex shape and show the architectural projects.
