Abstract:
Entrepreneurial skills and mindset play a vital role in today’s education. Not only business schools but most of the colleges and programs implement the development of the entrepreneurial spirit as part of the curriculum. Every day, more business organizations support that students learn the skills needed to thrive in their careers successfully. It is not only technical knowledge that matters anymore. Employers are looking for more entrepreneurial skills like critical thinking, recognizing an opportunity and understanding the market and the industry trends, risk management, self-motivation, emotional intelligence, problem-solving, and resilience. Entrepreneurial centers play a vital role in providing such training and opportunities to students. The paper aims to analyze the role of entrepreneurship centers and entrepreneurs-in-residence at the university settings. Such centers allow for deeper contact of faculty and students with the industry locally and internationally. These centers provide the necessary training and tools to enable students to build a strong base for their ideas and develop their skills. Students can learn and cultivate the essential talents that will bring additional experience and preparation for future employment. Entrepreneurial skills prepare and allow the students to apply the obtained skills in their professional and personal lives. The paper analyzes the local and global support form the industry to the entrepreneurship centers. It also highlights centers' goals and accomplishments. It explains the role of experiential learning, its outcomes, and the necessity and direction for the future development.Keywords:
