Abstract:
The fast-growing number of young entrepreneurs can be attributed to the wide-ranging entrepreneurial opportunities offered by higher institutions. Most of the universities provide hands-on entrepreneurial courses that complement the rigorous traditional academic curriculum. The Covid-19 pandemic contributed to the expansion of entrepreneurial spirit among students. Many young people lost their income sources and, in many cases, these being temporary jobs in the hospitality industry. They were obligated to find a new and creative way to support themselves. Entrepreneurial spirit came to play. There is a significant increase in the development of small businesses created by students who use social media and other digital platforms to promote their services and products. The business schools experience a significant expansion in demand for their entrepreneurial courses. Such interest is clearly visible not only from the traditional business majors but from several other majors outside of the College of Business. The interdisciplinary mix of students in the classroom allows for the productive collaboration of patricians from different study fields. It helps to build a better understanding of multidimensional teamwork that fits the career goals and personal interests. The presentation examines how the necessity opened the door to extensive entrepreneurial creativity and how higher education institutions support, enhance, and promote such initiatives.
