Under the development of global communication and mobility, many physics boundaries in education are broken or became blurring; some others are extended a lot. Cultural exchange and international trend come with the products and capital flows arrive nearly every corner of the earth in almost the same time. Just though one tough of their mouse, Students could easily exceed the classroom boundary to reach the huge information on the internet. In this amazing time, the education in a design school should not only be a knowledge transmitter, but a huge server and workstation which could catch the frequent of exchanging and sharing of idea, and become the platform of information communication and accumulation from all direction and level through some effective innovation method.

Design is not the application of discrete knowledge, but the integration of cumulative sequences of multidiscipline knowledge issues with the designer’s self-experience. A model of integrated and flexible curriculum is tried to set up to enable students to draw on their experiences in formulating their own design education, and thus help the students to find their own perspectives to collect and integrate the information and knowledge to deal with complex problems and indeterminate answers of this age. Such an ideology recognizes that while education certainly includes the acquisition of the technical skills needed to play with their professions; the more important aspect is the development of the ability to learn throughout life time experienced. To fulfill this kind program, through integrated team-teaching, the Academy of Arts and Design(AAD), Tsinghua University, accomplished to draw on existing designs courses together and mixed with a pair dimensions of design/science, innovation/preservation, space/time, etc. and inputted a wide variety of disciplines and cultures through a series of workshops happened both on campus and abroad in Milan, Soul, Tokyo, or Lausanne with INDACO, Politecnico University di Milano and other university partners started from 2004. The design workshops supported the curriculum by merging of designs with technology and culture- a multidisciplinary endeavor that other fields are just discovering, particular in the augmented reality. In particular, it would make the students finally recognized the philosophical tradition of epistemology and the epistemological tradition of constructivism.
