Abstract:
The global course to the education transformation demands the scrupulous attention and strategic roadmap especially since the transition period has decreased to a great extent due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. As the umbrella term e-teaching covers the broad scope of teaching/learning activities, materials, strategies using the electronic/digital means and systems to organise the educational process, it is mandatory to raise teachers’ digital competences and make information communication technology available and accessible. The present research aim was to investigate the teachers’ opinion on the factors and aspects designating effective and successful teaching in the electronic format. The rationale was predetermined by the obvious fact these are the teachers who can evaluate the real-life situation objectively.

The random respondents of the various age and teaching experience from twelve countries were asked to assess the statements according to the one-to-ten rating scale concerning who should provide the necessary materials, technical resources and organise the necessary professional development courses: the governmental institutions and bodies, educational establishments, teachers themselves. The two statements were referred to the eagerness assessment to use the modern digital technologies among the teachers and students. The only open question allowed the respondents to share their views and revealed their beliefs on the successful e-teaching factors. The obtained data analysis has revealed the common trends and the controversial issues on the e-teaching framework.
