Abstract:
The growth and popularization of science have become an integral part of the development of modern society. Now not only scientists and teachers but also students are interested in its preservation and multiplication.

One way to increase interest in research activities among students is to hold various scientific events to popularize scientific knowledge and achievements. Such effective forms of work include thematic exhibitions and expositions dedicated to science and technology achievements in multiple fields of knowledge and their practical application and holding complex events such as Knowledge Day, Week, or Science Festival.

Based on the scientific stand-up structure, SCIENCE SLAM, the Institute of foreign languages (Peoples' Friendship University of Russia), offers students and postgraduates a new format for their research' presentation. It is LINGUA SLAM, which aims to demonstrate their research in intercultural communication, linguistics, or FLT methods.

In contrast to Science Slam, the organizational structure of Lingua SLAM consists of project stages, preparation of demonstration material, print and video products, post-production, and scientific product's implementation.

Having become a forum for live communication, exchange of information, and innovative ideas, Lingua SLAM helped increase each participant's confidence, self-realization, and reflection through awareness of their contribution to science and personal growth in the process their research.

Slam gives an impetus to the development of a scientist both in public speaking and in their research activities.

This event's novelty is that young scientists, having performed at Lingua SLAM, continue their research in scientific publications, manuals, educational films, and EUMC. In their study, young scientists reveal the values of the importance of languages and cultures in the modern interactive world; reveal the intellectual potential of their higher institutions.
