Abstract:
In proposed paper will talk about original research in the field of using Agile (particularly SCRUM) methodology in relatively big university courses (with at least 20-30+ students participating). Initial setup and expected results from ongoing experiment for appliance of Agile methodologies (like SCRUM) in university classroom. Paper describes initial setup – group of 100+ students are divided on two groups. First group with 50 students working on 5 different projects in team of 9 people with different roles, and the other group – with 50 students, working on the same 5 projects/different tasks – 9 requirements per project, but not obligated to work in groups. Initial conclusions of how students perform better in software and web development – working alone, in group of 2 or 3 people – with no established practices or up to 9 people – lead by SCRUM principles. The second question we are looking to answer in the research paper is initial hypothesis about satisfaction and acceptance of the approach. Third question, discussed in paper is how to award individual team-members – and their contribution to the common goal – split award equal, or depending on the contribution, how to measure contributions and how to manage the whole process. Keywords:
