Abstract:
Internal communication within the university environment, especially "university - lecturer - student" communication, represents one of important factors of successful organization of high-quality university education. Feedback from students and regular and well-organized communication between students, lecturers and university management can be used for detection of student’s views and opinions on different aspects of education process. Moreover, the information from students are very helpful for defining the causes of student’s failures and recognizing the potential problems immediately. Analysis of student’s opinions is also one of important starting points for conceptual decision-making about the educational process organisation and about the implementation of selected educational approaches and measures into practise. Under conditions of small universities, approaches using questionnaire surveys can be proven. However, various forms of interviewing are also appropriate, through which a lots of problems can be identified at an early stage, which can help to make a more effective solution.
The aim of this paper is to evaluate the pilot deployment of the system using both approaches and to present the conclusions of the pilot study which aimed to map the reason and essence of the students 'problems. The students were conducting interviews that led to the definition of students' problems throughout their studies.
