Abstract:
Behavioral intentions and readiness for certain actions are influenced by a number of factors of different origins - biological, physiological, mental, etc. Some of them catalyze the processes and move individuals in a positive direction, others play the role of barriers to the upcoming actions. The paper looks at the effects of aggressive predispositions on academic motivation following the model of Friedman & Rosenman, 1974; Friedman & Kewley, 1988, Morris, 1990 based on the Academic Motivation Scale of Gordeeva, T.O., 2013 adapted to the Bulgarian environment by Petkov, Mitevska, 2017. In addition, their influence on the students’ satisfaction of life and feeling happy has been studied. The study was conducted with 189 people, of whom 51.9% were men and 48.1% were women, between 14 and 49 years of age. The results obtained show significant correlations between the aspects of academic motivation for the achievement, self-esteem and self-perfection, and aggressive predispositions to A-type behavior. It is confirmed that moderate behavior as well as behavior A type have a positive influence on academic motivation. The results of the survey can be used in the field of education to optimize interpersonal communication.
