Abstract:
This paper outlines a process of technological advancements in the teaching and learning practices with the proposal of an introductory teachers’ training course in some italian secondary schools.

The educational approach draws on a plural coexistence of various theories such as socio-constructivism, constructionism and connectivism. Its design aims to promote the digitalization of didactics and to support teachers in the creation of learning interactive activities for students. Teachers need to be trained as well as students in order to master their confidence with digital tools and devices.

The course is structured into five sessions where participants collaboratively learn, discuss, examine, create and share their findings. Thus, through the practice of Bring Your Own Device technology, teachers may realize how easily students could be involved into specifically designed digital tasks while developing both their critical thinking and digital competencies.

The paper will explain reasons, limits and resources of the educational approach adopted to engage teachers with the acquisition of digital practices and their pedagogical implications.
