Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to share an activity carried out during the pandemic period (2nd lock down between February and May 2021), in the scope of the Foreign Language (FL) Course Unit German for Tourism II, in the Tourism Degree of the School of Tourism and Maritime Technology, using the techniques of imitation and shadowing based on tourist promotional videos of different nature (accommodation, transport, catering).

The main objective was to improve and develop the speaking skills in German language in what concerns pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, fluency and expressiveness, through the promotional videos in German language watched and worked individually through different ICT tools.

However, it was also of utmost importance to obtain the students' opinions on the implementation of the activity with regard to the learning achieved and the results obtained.

The results demonstrated that the students learned to work with new apps related to video edition and sound and developed and improved profoundly their oral expression and speaking skills.
