Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to share a practical evaluation activity carried out in Foreign Language (FL) classes, in Higher Education, in Tourism degrees, during the academic year 2018-2019, to celebrate the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.

The aim of this activity was to propose to students a greater participation, involvement and autonomy in their own teaching/learning process, directing them to new active learning scenarios focused also on digital competence.

Students were challenged to put into practice the knowledge acquired in the specific area of tourism and cultural heritage, developing research and research strategies, in articulation with digital skills and tools, such as H5P.

This research presents the student's perspective and opinions, the impact of the H5P application, as a tool for active learning.

It is intended to demonstrate that the use of this digital tool H5P can lead to the development of the different communicative skills of foreign languages, such as comprehension, oral and written expression and interaction. It is also intended to show that the playful aspect provided by H5P can act as a motivating element.

Finally the results show that students or foreign language learners consider that their own learning process is effectively benefited by using the H5P tool in the tasks and activity proposed.
