In order to coordinate the courses/plans, the area of marine engineering, energy, hydrodynamics, propulsion,…from two multidisciplinary university studies (degree and master), with such different programs, yet so related, should be required guidelines very marked to avoid overlapping all activities and skills needed to achieve these skills. However, in this case, it is important to highlight the added difficulty of developing on a technical University as it is the ETSIN, a Master with inclusiveness character that correlate all subjects in the marine area.
This University studies, where subjects are framed in the field of Marine Engineering, will enable students to get all the powers belonging to the field in the profession of naval and oceanic engineer.

Hence this paper arises from the need to understand better and more accurately the needs of each of the Study Plans and more specifically, the relationship between them in the case of subjects of marine engineering, hydrodynamics and propulsion for example.

To do this, and to improve teaching effectiveness of current and future students in this educational area will be critical the following:
• Find the relationship between the objectives and competences achieved in these study plans.
• Find and identify the necessary and essential skills to be achieved in order to complete each of the university degrees to be analyzed in this paper.
• Locate skills or knowledge overlapped and / or repeated in various subjects to be studied.
• Finding necessary materials for students that are not taught in any subject that is taught in each plan.
• Search the strengths and weaknesses (if any) of the subjects currently taught. If necessary, try to find solutions to solve or reduce these problems.
